Óscar Naranjo

ABOUT ÓSCAR NARANJO

Politician who briefly was the Vice President of Colombia, he also served as General of the Police and peace negotiator with the FARC Peoples Army. He was the Director of Police Intelligence, and the Police Commander of the Bolivar.

He has received degrees from the Colegio Calasanz in Bogota and the Universidad de la Sabana. He has also studied and trained under the Spanish Civil Guard and at the Higher School of War of the Ministry of Defense of Colombia.

He worked closely with the operation that ended in the death Pablo Escobar .

He and his wife Claudia have two daughters, Maris and Kyis.

He served under president of Colombia Juan Manuel Santos , who was in office from 2010 until 2018.
