ABOUT AARYA AMBEKAR

Indian playback singer and sound engineer who sings in the classical Indian genre. She first gained popularity when she made the top ten finalists on the first season of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Marathi L'il Champs, a competitive music reality show on the Zee Marathi television channel.

She began musical training when she was two years old. She earned a BA degree in economics and an MA degree in music, in addition to formally studying sound engineering.

She was the youngest singer to win the Manik Varma Scholarship on her television program. Throughout her career, she has been nominated for awards like Young Achievers Award, Best Female Singer, Best Acting Debut, and Best Playback Singer Female.

Her father Samir Ambekar is a doctor. Her grandmother and her mother Shruti Ambekar were classical vocalists as well.

She was awarded performer of the week by Shreya Ghoshal during her time on the singing competition show.
