ABOUT ABI PALMER
Writer, artist, and filmmaker whose work explores ideas surrounding queerness, chronic illness, and the intersection of linguistic and physical communication. Her work has been published in The Guardian and Vice and has been exhibited at the Tate Modern and Somerset House. She promotes her writing and visual artwork on her abipalmer_bot Instagram account.
Her debut book, Sanatorium, was published by Penned in the Margins in 2020.
She adapted her debut book, Sanatorium, a memoir, into a multisensory short film and online performance. It toured during the pandemic, commissioned by Bloomsbury Festival.
She was born and raised in Cambridge, England. She has a cat named Lola. Her brother Ollie is also an artist.
