ABOUT ADENíZIA FERREIRA

Brazilian professional volleyball player who is known for her position as a middle blocker on the Pallavolo Scandicci club team. She is also known for representing Brazil in the Women's Volleyball League where she won an Olympic gold medal for Brazil's national team.

She first began playing volleyball at 11 with the Clube Filadelfia. At the age of 13, she then went on to join the Osasco club. In 2005, she went on to become a member of Brazil's national team and in 2012 she competed in her first Olympic games with the team.

She has won several individual awards for her playing including the Best Server award at the 2009 Final Four Cup in Lima, Peru and the Best Blocker award at the 2005 Pan-American Cup in Santo Domingo.

She was born in Ibiai, Brazil and grew up in Osasco.
