American television writer and producer famously known for creating One Life to Live and All My Children, both long-running soap operas.
She began writing on Guiding Light and other daytime soap operas.
She won five Daytime Emmy Awards for her writing on All My Children for which she worked from 1970 until 1981.
She had four children with her husband of 40 years, Robert Nixon.
She collaborated with All My Children star Susan Lucci .
