ABOUT AGUSTIN ANIEVAS
American pianist known for his mastery of Frederic Chopin , Franz Liszt , and Sergei Rachmaninoff .
He studied at The Juilliard School under Eduard Steuermann and Adele Marcus .
He became the first child to perform a piano recital at Mexico City's Palace of Fine Arts in 1944. He debuted in New York with the Little Orchestra Society when he was 18.
He largely left performing behind at an early age to focus on being a teacher and a family man. He returned to the stage in 1999.
His mastery of composers like Franz Schubert won him many awards and acclaim, including the first International Mitropoulos Competition for Pianists in 1961.
