Hall of Fame National Basketball League and NBA guard/forward whose career spanned from 1937 to 1953.

He was recruited by the NBL's Buffalo Bisons in his junior year of high school.

He was nicknamed digger for his tenacious defense.

He grew up around Rochester, New York.

He spent his last four seasons with the Syracuse Nationals and retired five years before Hal Greer began his 15-year career with the franchise.
