ABOUT ALAN GENDREAU

American former college football player for the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders, known for being openly gay. He was the leading scorer in Sun Belt Conference history. He made the second-longest field goal and set multiple school placekicking records. After graduating in 2012, he continued to keep in shape but was not picked up for the NFL. In 2015 he was working as a flight attendant for American Airlines.

He attended Orangewood Christian High School in Florida where he played all-state football and soccer and graduated as the school's all-time leading scorer. He also won the Orlando Sentinel award twice for Player of the Year in soccer. He came out as gay at age 16. When he attended college at Middle Tennessee State University, he opted for football as his main focus.

He created his Alan Gendreau YouTube channel in 2012 which has over 2,000 subscribers. It features his covers of famous songs such as "Home" by Michael Bublé and an original song titled "Pieces".

He grew up in a devoutly religious home and, after coming out to his parents, they placed him in church-based counseling. In 2008 he had a boyfriend who was a college baseball player.

In January of 2021, he posted a cover of the song "Mom" by Garth Brooks to his YouTube, giving a shout-out to his own mother.
