ABOUT ALESSIA RUSSO
English professional soccer player who gained fame as a forward for Manchester United and the England national team. Previously, she played professionally for Chelsea FC and Brighton & Hove Albion F.C . She attended the University of North Carolina where she played for the North Carolina Tar Heels. She joined Arsenal in July 2023.
As a child, she played for Bearsted F.C. and then advanced to captaining Chelsea F.C.'s development squad.
She competed at the 2016 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup, and she was part of the squad that placed third in the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup and second in the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup. She has garnered over 800 followers on Instagram, where she posts soccer and lifestyle content.
Her brother received a scholarship to play track and field at the University of Missouri .
She is a teammate of Canadian soccer player Adriana Leon .
