ABOUT ALEXANDER VOLKANOVSKI

Mixed Martial artist that signed to fight in the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in 2016. He is a brown belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He ranked number 2 in the UFC men's pound-for-pound rankings in March of 2023.

He began fighting professionally in 2012. Prior to signing to fight in UFC, he won ten straight fights in the Australian Fighting Championship league.

He defeated Max Holloway by unanimous decision for the UFC Featherweight Championship at UFC 245 on December 14, 2019. His fighting fame has helped him accumulate over 2.5 million followers on his alexvolkanovski Instagram page.

He is a native of Shellharbour, New South Wales, Australia. He was born of Macedonian and Greek heritage. He lives with his wife, Emma, and their two daughters, Ariana and Airlie.

He has fought against Brian Ortega , José Aldo , Chad Mendes , and many more throughout his UFC career.
