ABOUT ALEXIS GOLOVIN

Classical musician whose talent and technique thrilled audiences and educated scores of musicians across successive generations.

He won first prize with distinction for virtuosity at the Geneva Conservatory. He later became a professor with the conservatory.

His concert tours spanned the globe, touching Europe, Asia, Southern Africa, and North and South America, along with the world's foremost festivals.

He was born into a family of musicians and began piano lessons when he was only five at the Central Music School of Moscow.

He recorded the works of numerous composers, including Robert Schumann .
