Ally Scott

ABOUT ALLY SCOTT

Former professional soccer player who most notably played as a striker in the Scottish Professional Football League. He spent the bulk of his career playing for Scottish Premier teams such as Rangers Football Club and Hibernian Football Club.

He inaugurated his senior professional soccer career playing for the Scottish Championship League association club known as Queen's Park Football Club in 1972. He was signed by the Rangers just one year later.

After playing for SPFL clubs from 1973 to 1978, he went on to play with Scottish Championship club Greenock Morton, Scottish League One clubs Partick Thistle and Queen of the South, and finally for Lowland League club East Stirlingshire.

His birth name is Alistair Scott. He was born in Glasgow, Scotland.

Some of his teammates on the 1974-75 Rangers FC roster included defenders John Greig and Sandy Jardine .
