Midfielder who has played in the Liga MX club América since he went on loan to the team in 2021. He was named a Liga MX All-Star in 2022. He has over 850,000 followers on his alvarofidalgo Instagram account where he shares comedic skits and clips of himself playing soccer as well as career and personal updates.

He began his youth career playing for Condal from 2003 to 2005. He first joined Real Madrid's La Fábrica in 2012.

He played for real Madrid until 2020 when he was traded to Castellón. He was then traded to América a year later. He has been instrumental to club América's successes, cuntributing to ther Apertura 2023, Clausura 2024, and Apertura 2024 Liga MX titles.

His grandfather Rafael was also a soccer player. He was a defender for UP Langreo.

He is a fan of Dragon Ball Z , specifically Goku who was voiced by Sean Schemmel . He wore Saiyan hair in an Instagram reel shared in October 2022.
