ABOUT AMIR SAOUD

Considered one of the best Lebanese basketball players of his generation, he began his career in 2009 as a point guard and shooting guard. He has played for teams such as the Lebanese Basketball League's Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut and the Lebanon national team.

He initially played for the LBL's Division A Hoops Club before transferring to Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut. In 2016, he graduated from the American University of Science and Technology with a bachelor's degree in economics before going on to earn his master's degree in sports studies from the Cardiff Metropolitan University in 2021.

In September 2021, he became a business owner of the Riyadi Basketball Academy. Founded in 2000, the academy has helped guide young athletes along their journey to becoming professionals for over several decades.

He married Nour Jamal at the Seaside Pavilion in Beirut in June of 2019. In 2022, the couple welcomed their first child together.

He is a teammate of fellow point guard Wael Arakji on Sporting Al Riyadi Beirut. He has also played on the Lebanon national team with shooting guard Omari Spellman .
