ABOUT AMOS MIDZI
Zimbabwean politician who served as Minister of Energy and Power Development and Minister of Mines and Mining Development. He was dismissed from the Cabinet in 2009 due to the fact that he no longer held any seat in Parliament.
He ran for Mayor of Harare, but was defeated.
He was appointed as Ambassador to the United States in 1993.
His parents raised him in Rhodesia and Nyasaland.
He and Mainza Chona are both politicians from Zambia.
