ABOUT ANDREW ADONIS
Politician and journalist who served as the Secretary of State for Transport from 2009 to 2010 and Chairman of the National Infrastructure Commission from 2015 to 2017.
He graduated from Keble College, Oxford in 1984 with a bachelor of arts degree in modern history.
He worked as an academic at Oxford University before becoming a journalist at the Financial Times and The Observer.
He was married to Kathryn Davies from 1994 to 2015. They had two children.
George Osborne was Chancellor while he was Chairman of the National Infrastructure Commission.
