American director, producer and script editor known for his work on Seinfeld , and Curb Your Enthusiasm .

He began his career as a videotape editor on WKRP in Cincinnati in 1979.

He started directing Seinfeld in its sixth season and has direct 89 episodes for the show.

He married Robin Ackerman.

He has also directed or guest directed Everybody Loves Raymond , Cheers , Frasier , Two and a Half Men , and The Ellen DeGeneres Show .
