ABOUT ANDY MIAH
English journalist, academic and author who focuses on emerging technology. He has published more than 100 research papers including articles in Nature, The Lancet and the Journal of Medical Ethics. He has written for newspapers including The Washington Post, The Guardian and The Times.
In 1997, he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Leisure Studies from De Montfort University in Leicestershire. In 2002, he earned a doctorate (PhD) focusing on Bioethics, Philosophy of Technology and Genetic Enhancement.
In 2021, he gave a TEDx Talk titled "How Esports Are Changing The World."
His father is Bangladeshi, and his mother is English.
He and Katie Derham are both well-known English journalists.
