Classical pianist who specialized in Romantic-era composers and performed with many famous conductors and orchestras.
She studied at the Peabody Conservatory with Mieczyslaw Munz . She would be a member of the piano faculty from 1980 until 2000.
Her first recording was titled Miss Ann Schein: A Truly Brilliant Pianist and was released in 1960.
Her mother was a violinist and her father was an attorney.
She performed for President and Mrs. John F. Kennedy at the White House in 1963.
