Anna Prugova

ABOUT ANNA PRUGOVA

Goaltender known for being a member of the Russian national ice hockey team. She also participated in the Winter Olympic Games in 2010 and 2014, and participating in six IIHF Women's World Championships.

She began playing ice hockey at a young age. She played for the youth hockey team Amur Khabarovsk before being recruited to play for the Russian national team. She obtained a degree in sports business.

She was the youngest woman competing in ice hockey in the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver at 16 years and 86 days old. She is known for sporting an eye-catching Ninja Turtles helmet while on the ice.

She was born Anna Aleksandrovna Prugova. She was born and raised in Khabarovsk, Russia. Her father helped get her started on her journey to become a goaltender.

She faced off against American goaltender Brianne McLaughlin in the 2010 Winter Olympics.
