Anthony Marlowe

ABOUT ANTHONY MARLOWE

British Conservative Party politician who served in Parliament from 1941 to 1965. Earlier in his career, while serving as King's Counsel, he had played a key legal role during Nazi war crimes trials.

He attended Trinity College, Cambridge and passed the bar examination in 1928. He went on to establish his own law practice and then served in the British Army during World War II.

During his time in Parliament, he was an active supporter of veterans' rights and healthcare.

He married the daughter of barrister Sir Patrick Hastings in 1929.

He was critical of the government of Prime Minister Winston Churchill .
