ABOUT ANTHONY SHRIVER

Activist most well known as the founder of Best Buddies International, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping those with intellectual disabilities find employment and social opportunities.

He graduated from Georgetown University with a double major in theology and history.

He has twice considered running for Governor of Florida for the 2006 and 2010 elections.

He married Alina Mojica in 1993 and the pair gave birth to five children: Teddy, Eunice, Francesca, Carolina, and John. His mother, Eunice Kennedy, founded the special olympics and his father, Sargent, was the founding director of the peace corps.

He is the nephew of the family of politicians Joseph , Robert , Ted , and President John F. Kennedy .
