ABOUT ANTON COşA

Romanian cleric who is known for being the bishop of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Chişinău in Moldova.

He graduated from the Roman Catholic Theological Institute of Iași in the year 1989. He was then ordained as a priest by Bucharest Archbishop Ioan Robu. He was an assistant priest before becoming head priest in the early 1990s.

He was named the inaugural Bishop of Chişinău (Moldova's capital city) in the year 2001. His motto is "Omnia in Christo," which translates to "All in Christ" in English.

He was born and raised in Faraoani, Bacău, Romania. He grew up in a family of farmers. He had two brothers who became priests as well.

He was consecrated into the Catholic Church as a bishop by Pope John Paul II .
