Goalkeeper who is famous for his career in Italy's Serie A. He has earned caps for Juventus, Bologna, and Roma throughout his distinguished career as a primary option at goalkeeper.

He played in the Juventus youth academy between 2003-2004.

He made over 200 appearances for Serie A club Parma between 2009-2015. He helped lead Juventus to the Serie B title in 2006-2007.

He was originally born and raised in Castellammare di Stabia, Italy.

He and Daniele De Rossi have played as teammates for AS Roma.
