Luxembourgian artist who is best known for his sculptures of large cats.
He worked in a Luxembourg steel factory during World War I.
His major works include a pair of bronze lions that guard the Luxembourg City Hall and a tiger sculpture that was bought by the city of Paris.
He was born in Luxembourg, and he moved to Paris, France when he was in his late teens.
He and French artist, Antoine Louis Barye , both became known for their animal sculptures.
