ABOUT AVA CARNEY

Volleyball player and athlete who is best known for being a member of the University of Miami volleyball team. She stands at 6 feet 2 inches and plays the outside hitter position. She finished with 127 kills (5th most on team), 145 points, 61 digs, 28 blocks, and three service aces.

She attended high school at Commonwealth Charter Academy in Pennsylvania. After high school, she attended Wake Forest University before transferring to the University of Miami.

She ranked No. 57 in the Class of 2023 by Prep Volleyball and was invited to the USA Volleyball National Team Development Program. She played in 19 out of 33 matches and started in 15 of them, but she then missed 14 matches due to injury.

She is the daughter of Shelton and Renee Carney, and she has two siblings, Devin and Donovan.
