ABOUT BAM AQUINO

Filipino politician who became a senator-elect of the Philippines in 2025. Representing the Katipunan ng Nagkakaisang Pilipino (KANP), he has also served as senator in the years between 2013 and 2019 as well as deputy Senate minority leader between 2017 and 2019.

He graduated valedictorian from Ateneo High School in 1995 before going on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in management engineering from the Ateneo de Manila University, where he also graduated valedictorian and summa cum laude. He later attended the Ateneo de Manila Law School as well as Harvard Kennedy School in the U.S.

He is an avid fanatic of the Warcraft video game series and has earned recognition for his support of the video game industry throughout his incumbency as senator. In 2015, he was the keynote speaker at the Electronic Sports and Gaming Summit at the SMX Convention Center in Manila.

He is the youngest of three boys born to prominent businessman Paul Aquino and Melanie Aguirre. He and his wife, Maria Fatima "Timi" Gomez, married in 2012 and went on to become the parents of two daughters together.

Several of his family members, including his grandfather Benigno and his uncle Benigno Aquino Jr. , have also served as senators. Additionally, his cousin, Benigno Aquino III , became the 15th President of the Philippines in 2010.
