She obtained her Master's degree from Stanford University in Palo Alto, California.

In addition to designing her own collections, she's also worked as a stylist for Avedon and as a design consultant for Prada.

She was born in New York City.

Michelle Obama wore one of her designs to meet Queen Elizabeth during her official visit to the UK in 2011.
