ABOUT BARRY BECKETT
Keyboardist and early member of the Muscle Shoals Rhythm Section. He helped pioneer a new sound in rock and country.
He first heard Muscle Shoals, also called The Swampers, while attending college in Alabama.
He co-produced Bob Dylan 's classic 1979 album Slow Train Coming with Jerry Wexler . He also played piano and organ on the album. He returned to co-produce Saved, Dylan's 1980 album.
His father was an insurance salesman and an aspiring guitar player who in his spare time hosted a local radio show.
He worked with Kenny Chesney and groups like Phish as an independent producer.
