ABOUT BARRY GUY
Composer, teacher, and improvisational double-bassist who has played with artists like Michael Nyman .
He started his career working with pianist Howard Riley and drummer Tony Oxley and went on to work with many improvisational music groups, including the Spontaneous Music Ensemble.
He performed with Iskra 1903 in the 1970s.
He married Maya Homburger and they have run a record label that features a variety of baroque and more contemporary sounds.
Guy and Derek Bailey have collaborated together for many years.
