ABOUT BELA SIKI
Known for his distinguished teaching career and for his passionate and wise interpretations of famous composers.
He won the Geneva Competition in 1948.
He taught at the University of Washington in Seattle from 1985 until 2001.
His family supported his musical ambitions. He studied with Leo Weiner in Budapest and at the Franz Liszt Music Academy with Ernest von Dohnányi.
His lengthy teaching career influenced many future pianists, including Anton Nel .
