ABOUT BEN MURRAY-BRUCE
Nigerian businessman and politician who is known for having served as member of the Senate of Nigeria throughout 2015 where he represented the Bayelsa East district. He is also known for his work as a founder of the Silverbird Group which acts as both a mass media and real estate business.
He attended the University of South Carolina where he earned his bachelor's degree in Marketing. He started his career serving in several public positions including as director general of the Nigerian Television Authority beginning in 1999. He entered into politics in 2011 when he ran for governor of Bayelsa State.
He has earned several awards and honors including the Officer of the Order of the Niger title in 2014 and the Champion for National Building Award in 2007.
He was born and raised in Lagos, Nigeria and married Evelyn Murray-Bruce. Together the couple has four children.
He is known for having spoken at the Nigerian American Business Forum in Tampa, Florida along with fellow Nigerian speakers and politicians Fela Durotoye and Peter Obi .
