Benjamin Castaldi
ABOUT BENJAMIN CASTALDI
French television and radio host and producer known for hosting the French television series Lofty Story and its spinoff, Secret Story. He comes from an artistic family, considering his father Jean-Pierre Castaldi, and his mother Catherine Allégret were both notable French actors.
He is of Italian and Polish-Jewish descent. He studied economics at Sorbonne University and worked in sales before moving to the United States of America to pursue a career in radio production. He ultimately returned to Paris, France, and began hosting shows from there.
He also goes by the nickname Benji, or Casta. Throughout his career, he also earned a handful of credits as an actor. He has also earned credit as a writer, on the miniseries Hold-Up.
His parents were both French actors, as were his maternal grandmother: Simone Signoret , and his maternal step-grandfather: Yves Montand . He has been married four times; to Valérie Sapienza
, Flavie Flament, Vanessa Broussouloux, and Aurore Aleman. He has four children.
In 2012, he was injured in a motorcycle accident that left him unable to host Secret Story. The role of the host was turned over to Nikos Aliagas .
