ABOUT BENSOUL
Singer, vocalist, composer, entertainer, artist, musician, performer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist known for playing a wide assortment of different musical instruments including the bass, guitar, keyboard, drums, and violin. He earned a Grammy Award through co-writing "Time Flies" on Burna Boy 's 2020 album, Twice As Tall.
He started performing in the church choir. After high school, he moved to Nairobi to study Civil Engineering.
He enrolled into Sauti Sol 's Sauti Academy. He was the first artist signed into Sauti Sol's label Sol Generation. In the year 2020, he released an EP called Qwarantunes. His YouTube video "Bensoul - Medicine | EP Vibes ~ SMS [ Skiza 5802534 ] to 811" garnered 1.7 million views.
He dated TikTok influencer Cindy Kipsang . His father was a musician who played the electric and bass guitar.
In the year 2023, he released an album titled The Lion of Sudah which featured collaborations with Savara Mudigi .
