ABOUT BERNADETTE SAN PEDRO BAYOT
Gained fame as the mother of Grammy-winning recording artist Bruno Mars . She passed away from a brain aneurysm in 2013.
Born in the Philippines, she moved to Hawaii as a child. She and Peter Hernandez, her husband, met while she was working as a hula dancer and he was playing percussion.
She was a singer and a dancer when Bruno was a child. The family would often perform together in the band The Love Notes.
She and Peter Hernandez had six children in total: Bruno, Eric, Presley, Tiara, Jaime, and Tahiti.
Her son wrote songs for the likes of Travie McCoy and Sean Kingston early in his career.
