ABOUT BERNARD NEWMAN

Worked as the head designer for retail store, Bergdorf Goodman, and also as the head costume designer for RKO Pictures.

He went to Paris for college, where he studied at the Art Student's League.

He started as a window dresser at Bergdorf's before working his way up to head designer.

He was born in Joplin, Missouri.

While working at RKO pictures, he dressed many celebrities, including actress Lucille Ball .
