She started her blog in 2008 as an online diary to her future grandchildren.

She said the top recipe on her blog was her Skinny Pizza Dough. She published an eBook cookbook titled Cooking for One. She has amassed more than 210,000 followers on her mybizzykitchen Instagram account.

She is a widow and empty nester. She has a daughter named Hannah and a step-son named Joe. She has a twin sister named Jenn who launched a blog titled Jenn Cooks.

In March 2024, she visited the set of The Young and the Restless and met Eric Braeden .
