ABOUT BRADEN D. SMITH

Collegiate point guard and athlete that initially enrolled into Purdue University as a freshman in 2022. Following that season, he was named a member of the Big Ten All-Freshman team. As a sophomore, he earned first team All-Big Ten honors. He stands an even six feet tall and weighs about 175 pounds.

He was considered a three-star recruit while at Westfield High School. During his senior season, he was named Indiana's Mr. Basketball.

In 2023, he made Purdue program history after becoming the third freshman ever in Big Ten history to score over 340 points while also recording 150 assists and 140 rebounds in a single season. The only other two players to ever achieve this feat in the Big Ten were Magic Johnson and D'Angelo Russell .

Although he was born in Russellville, Arkansas, he grew up living with his family in Westfield, Indiana.

He was teammates with Zach Edey while at Purdue.
