ABOUT BRIAN HENDERSON
TV host and news anchor who received two Gold Logie awards and an Order of Australia honor for his work with Australia's Channel Nine.
He served as host of the Australian variety show, Bandstand, from 1958-1972.
He returned to television in 2012 after several years of retirement to host a documentary on the 1977 Granville Train Disaster.
He was born in Dunedin, Otago, New Zealand, and he later relocated to Australia, where he married Mardi Henderson.
He and fellow Australian television host, Graham Kennedy , were both inducted into the Logies Hall of Fame.
