Brian Mulroney

ABOUT BRIAN MULRONEY

18th Prime Minster of Canada who served from 1984 to 1993. He was a member of the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada and during his time in office, he passed several major economic reforms. He was recognized for making environmental protection a priority.

He was a lawyer in Montreal after graduating from Francis Xavier University.

He was responsible for the Canada-US Free Trade Agreement and the Goods and Services Tax. He was criticized for his response to the Air India Flight 182 bombing in 1985.

He married Mila Pivnicki in 1973. They had three sons and a daughter.

George W. Bush attended his daughter Caroline's wedding in 2000.
