ABOUT BRITT ALLCROFT
Producer, writer, and creator of the hit series Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends and other popular children's series. She adapted the TV series from the book The Railway Series.
She legally changed her name from Hillary to Britt when she was 16 and began to work in broadcasting.
She wrote and directed a film version of her popular TV show, called Thomas and the Magic Railroad, in 2000. She lent her voice to the animated television series Magic Adventures of Mumfie.
She was married to television producer Angus Wright from 1973 to 1997. She had two children and was based in Santa Monica.
She sat on the board of the Audrey Hepburn Children's Fund for several years.
