ABOUT BRITTANY YORK

Virginia-born beauty queen who was bestowed the crown of Miss North Carolina in 2011. She then entered the national stage by competing in Miss USA 2011.

She competed in track and soccer during junior high and high school.

She appeared at the Special Olympics Alpine Skiing and Snowboarding Event in 2011 to show her support for the Special Olympics.

She has three brothers, to whom she credits her tomboy attitude growing up.

She and fellow beauty queen Jeanne Robertson have both been named Miss North Carolina.
