ABOUT BRUCE KATZ

Versatile musician proficient at the piano, organ, and bass guitar. He eventually settled on blues as his genre of specialty.

He played bass guitar for Big Mama Thornton, followed by stints with Barrence Whitfield and the Savages.

He founded The Bruce Katz Band and released several albums on the Sledgehammer Blues label.

He grew up in Baltimore, which exposed him to an active and imaginative musical scene.
