
Bryant Butler Brooks
ABOUT BRYANT BUTLER BROOKS
American businessman, rancher and politician who was the seventh Governor of Wyoming from 1905 to 1911. He was notably the first Governor to occupy the Wyoming Governor's Mansion.
He moved to Big Muddy, Wyoming at the age of eighteen and began raising livestock.
He wrote about his life in "Memoirs of Bryant B. Brooks: Cowboy, Trapper, Lumberman, Stockman, Oilman, Banker, and Governor of Wyoming", which was published in 1939.
He married Mary Naomi Brooks and they had five children.
He and Mike Enzi both served as governors of Wyoming.
