ABOUT BRYCE MCGOWENS

Basketball player who became famous playing for the Charlotte Hornets of the National Basketball Association. He was selected with the 40th overall pick by the Minnesota Timberwolves in the 2022 NBA draft. He was then traded to the Hornets.

He played basketball for Wren High School in Piedmont, South Carolina. For his senior season, he moved to Legacy Early College in Greenville, South Carolina.

He played college basketball for the University of Nebraska-Lincoln 's Cornhuskers. In July of 2022, the Hornets announced that they had signed him to a two-way contract to split time between the Hornets and their NBA G League affiliate the Greensboro Swarm.

His father Bobby was a two-sport athlete in both basketball and football at South Carolina State. His mother Pam played basketball for Western Carolina. His older brother Trey played college basketball.

His Charlotte Hornets teammate Kelly Oubre Jr. said he was "going to be a star" in the NBA.
