ABOUT BYRON LEE
Jamaican musician and record producer known for being the leader of Byron Lee and the Dragonaires. He is said to have introduced the electric bass guitar to Jamaica around 1960.
He formed the Dragonaires around 1950 with his friend Carl Brady.
He produced many of the ska singles by The Maytals.
He was born and raised in Manchester, Jamaica.
Jimmy Cliff is another famous Jamaican musician and ska producer.
