For World Wrestling Entertainment, she went by the ring name Lana. She also worked as a professional wrestling valet, model, actress, dancer, and singer.

She was first discovered when ABC sports commentator Brent Musburger acknowledged her among a group of Florida State Seminole fans known as the Florida State Cowgirls. That spawned a modeling career.

She appeared in the film Pitch Perfect and the television series The Real Housewives of Atlanta and The Game .

Born Catherine Joy Perry, she grew up the oldest of four siblings. She married Bulgarian wrestler Alexander Rusev in 2016, but they announced their divorced in March 2024.

Also a singer, she briefly joined the girl group, No Means Yes, signed to Ne-Yo 's record label in 2009.
