ABOUT CADE CUNNINGHAM

Point guard who was selected first overall in the 2021 NBA Draft by the Detroit Pistons after playing one year of college basketball at Oklahoma State University . He was the consensus #1 overall recruit coming out of high school in 2020. He was also a McDonald's All-American and the Naismith Prep Player of the Year in 2020.

He transferred to Montverde Academy for his junior high school season. He was named the MVP of the 2019 Nike Elite Youth Basketball League for the Texas Titans.

He led the US U-19 squad to a gold medal at the 2019 FIBA U-19 World Cup.

His father Keith was a football player. He has an older brother named Cannen. He has a daughter named Riley, who was born in 2018.

Upon signing his letter of intent in 2020, he was the first five-star recruit to commit to Oklahoma State since Marcus Smart in 2012.
