She graduated with honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with her Bachelor of Arts degree in journalism. She began regularly blogging in April 2011.
In October 2012, she was hired as a public relations consultant for Crawford Strategy. She has also developed a sizable Instagram following due to her blog's success with more than 1.3 million followers.
She was born and raised in Charlotte, North Carolina alongside her brother. Her mother takes most of her Instagram photos. In May 2017, she became engaged to Chris Dorsch. She has two children, Kennedy and Collins.
