His mother first began The Hartley Hooligans blog in 2006 after the birth of his younger sister, Lola.

He has an Instagram account, calhartley11, where he has posted photos with friends and family. He is also a passionate basketball player.

His parents are Scott and Gwen Hartley. He has two younger sisters, Claire and Lola .

He is the son of a popular blogger, much like Kainoa Bouska .
